HIFU stands for ‘High Intensity Focused Ultrasound’. 

Hifu is a safe, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin. It uses ultrasound energy coupled with the body’s own regenerative response, to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck and the décolletage.

In doing so it creates a lifted, more taut appearance and stimulates the body to produce collagen thereby creating a more taut appearance as it stimulates collagen production and eliminates wrinkles.

A good candidate is aged 25+ who wants to reverse the effects of aging and stay looking young for much longer.

For patients in their 30s it is typically used to stimulate collagen production and help delay the ageing process. 

Patients in their 40s and 50s are the most common age group who have this treatment. Patients may have noticed that the skin on their face or neck has become lax and wish to lift and tighten the relevant area.

It is also for those aged 60+ or who have had surgery in the past, it can be used to prolong to effects of surgical facelifts.

Most of the top clinics in London charge around £500-650 per area, of the face or body, for HIFU treatment. There may be slight redness following the treatment. A small amount of patients report swelling, tingling or tenderness to touch.
